It all started in 2012 – my husband was deployed to Afghanistan and I was home with our newborn daughter, Maeve. As I sat there and watched her sleep I realized I needed to be an example for her. I remembered seeing an ad for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and I started looking into it. I quickly signed up and started walking. 6 years and $12,000 later I’m still here for the best addiction possible. When our son, Flynn, died in 2015 I considered stopping the walk, but then I realized that one day I could lose my daughter to breast cancer if a cure isn’t found so I’m still here walking, yet again. I can’t complete the 39.3 miles over 2 days in June without your help – I need to raise a minimum of $1,800 in order to walk. Please consider helping me out. Thank you in advance!
