Thanks for visiting my Avon Walk page! I've committed to participating in the Avon 39 Walk to end Breast Cancer again for 2017. It's a big commitment, one that will require me to spend the next several months training and fundraising. But breast cancer is a big disease, one that still affects far too many people, and I'm determined to do everything I can to help put an end to it.
The money I raise will be managed and disbursed by the Avon 39 Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade to help provide access to care for those who most need it, fund educational programs, and accelerate research into new treatments and potential cures. I'll be just one of thousands of people who will walk up to 39.3 miles over two days, raising awareness promoting education.
I walked in the last 3 Avon39 Walks in Boston, it is always inspiring! I can't wait to do it again this year! I met some amazing people and look forward to seeing them again, as well as raising awareness on how much this walk actually helps woman who would not otherwise have the means to get a mamogram or treatment.
I can't do it without your help. Though I'm required to raise at least $1,800 to walk in the event, I plan to raise much more! I hope that I can count on your support.
You can make a donation right here on the website by clicking the "Donate Now" button on this page. If you prefer to write a check, please contact me, and I'll send you the information and form.
As I prepare for this exciting event, I plan to update this page frequently so that all my supporters like you can follow my progress, so please visit often. While you're here, you might want to spend some time on the site to find out more information on why this event is so important, and the organizations and people that will be helped by the money we all raise.
I have been asked WHY THIS walk? why not one of the many others. Avon foundation gives more funds toward an actual Cure, research and providing funds for the poor to receive mamograms and treatments. Many other foundations use it for advertisements and awareness. TELL ME, WHO isn't AWARE of Breast Cancer. I want my efforts to go toward helping those with cancer to survive. I want my efforts to go toward finding a cure, not just making people aware of it. I want there to be a day no one dies from breast cancer like my Grandmother did. So please consider helping me reach my goal and together we can end this disease once and for all.
Thank you in advance!!
