I am doing the walk again! The AVON 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer is a 39.3 mile walk over two days. I'll be walking in Boston at the end of June.
I am walking in support, respect and love for the numerous women who have touched my life and have fought this disease. Some of these women are very close and some are fond acquaintences, but all have been an inspiration to me: Nancy, Carol, Lucy, Sandy, Kelly S., Marya, Emogene, Shiva, Rosemary, Shirley, Rachel, Heather, Marty, Mary and Mary, Carole, Ingrid, Betty K. and Sarah. Too many names!
The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade works to help prevent, treat, and hopefully ultimately eradicate breast cancer. The Crusade supports awareness and education, screening and diagnosis, access to care, support services and scientific research. The dollars you pledge will put food on the table of a breast cancer patient and her family. They will enable access to mammograms and medicine, support research, and save lives. I need to raise at least $1,800 to participate in the walk, and I hope to raise more!
You can make a donation here on my webpage by clicking the "Donate Now" button to the right. If you prefer to write a check, I can mail you a form to complete.
Imagine a world without breast cancer! I hope you can help.
