In 2016, I  made a commitment to something that I never realized would have a major impact on my life. I joined to become a part of something bigger than me. As a divorced single parent wanting to show my daughter that we all can help someone in some way, I realized during my first walk, that there are so many things bigger than anyone of us. To see everyone come together for such a wonderful cause, to meet all the survivors, those affected by this disease, was just amazing.  What I was even more amazed of was that when I was down and as the tears of pain flowed as i thought i could never finish with all the blisters, with the pain my knee was in, my back burning, that one man that helped me my last 2 miles. Arm in arm, he didnt even know me. The encouragement, the conversation, just to be a support to me when I was ready to give up. He gave me the hope and drive to finish even though I still didnt believe  I could.   As someone that struggled thru my own demons, I realized mine were not demons, I am alive, healthy . I learned how to now live more clean, I started to exercise, watch what I put in and on my body and especially my daughters. I know of 2 close friends that had recently gone thru breast and throat cancer. Prayed every day for their sucessful recovery.

I am participating in my 2nd  AVON 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer. It won’t be easy, but that’s why it's worth it. From now until AVOWhN 39 weekend, I’ll train to strengthen my body to walk over 39 miles in two days. I’ll also be raising funds to crush breast cancer. This is where you come in.

I am required to raise at least $1,800 to EARN MY 39, but I plan to raise much, much more! I hope that I can count on your support! I know I can count on you to help me reach this goal and  to help raise awareness  to share what I have learned.

I’m walking with thousands of other 39ers. We’re banding together in solidarity and have one goal: to take breast cancer down. So many sisters and mothers and friends have been lost.
