Welcome to the AVON 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer Chicago Youth Crew Team Page!
The Chicago Youth Crew is an amazing team of 16 energetic kids dedicated to helping find an end to breast cancer. While the walkers are conquering 39.3 miles through Chicago, the Youth Crew are their #1 support team. They help set up the event, wake up at 4am each day to cheer until their voices are hoarse, refill water bottles, hand out snacks, and are a constant source of energy and smiles.
Even though the walk is still a while away, this team is already starting to make an impact by each raising at least $500 in donations. They are committed to the cause because even though you have to be 18 years old to walk the event, you do not have to be 18 to have been affected by breast cancer. Each member of the Youth Crew has a story. Whether it be their mom, grandmother, aunt, teacher, or friend, they all have a loved one who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

About Avon Breast Cancer Crusade
The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade qualifies under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Launched in 1992, the Crusade is affiliated with the Avon Foundation for Women. The Crusade’s philanthropic commitment is to enable access to medical advances and support services for breast cancer patients, particularly those from vulnerable populations, and to invest in research on the prevention, diagnostics, and treatment of breast cancer. Funding is awarded to beneficiaries ranging from leading cancer centers to community-based breast health programs for awareness and education; screening and diagnosis; access to treatment; support services; and scientific research.
