Our journey began in 2009, when, after a few training walks, we cheered each other on throughout the 2009 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. After sharing 2 days, 39 miles, countless blisters, laughter, and songs, we stood hugging and crying at the closing ceremonies and vowed to walk again in 2010 as an official team. And so Bandits for Boobies was born. In it's 8 year history, The Bandits for Boobies have raised $216,285 for the cause. We have consistently placed in the top 10 out of over 250 teams for money raised at the annual Santa Barbara Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

We are proud to be gaining notoriety as the boisterous, rabble-rousing team that creates community and connection while bringing fun to the fight against breast cancer. Every year we sport cowboy hats, bandanas and loot bags to pull off our annual Bandits for Boobies Hold Up, where we stage hold ups for donations all over town. Our outlawin' shenanigans are getting noticed in our community! Our team captain was asked to speak on the topic of community and connection at the 2014 Avon Walk Great Start Party, and our team has been featured on the KTLA morning news, the Santa Barbara evening news, and the game show Let's Make a Deal.

We may be united as a team, but we still need YOU!!! Our walking is not what saves lives. It's the generous donations of each of our supporters that provides money used towards research, care, testing, meals and transportation for women battling breast cancer.
