I am once again participating in the AVON 39 Walk in Santa Barbara as a CREW member. I debated signing up this year due to my continuous struggle with my knee pain, but my pain is minimal to the struggle this disease has on those battling breast cancer and the emotional pain their loved ones encounter.
In 2010 I did the Avon walk for the first time and it was truly one of the greatest experiences. Breast cancer is a disease that still affects far too many of our loved ones- this year it holds a different meaning to me personally and I'm determined to do everything I can to help put an end to it.
MY GOAL IS TO RAISE AT LEAST $500+ in three days!
You can make a donation right here on my webpage by clicking the "Donate Now" button to the right. If you prefer to write a check, click the "Donate By Mail" button and follow the instructions on the form.
Your donations will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Foundation. The dollars you pledge will put food on the table of a breast cancer patient and their family. They will enable access to mammograms and medicine, fuel research, and save lives. NEED ANY MORE REASON TO CLICK THAT DONATE NOW BUTTON?
I will be serving thousands of walkers and doing my best to make their journey a pleasant one. We're banding together in solidarity and have one goal: to take breast cancer down.
My goal is to see a world without breast cancer and for the future of my three beautiful daughters. AVON 39 is a force of change that can't be stopped. By supporting me with a donation, you're part of it.
