It's almost time to hit the streets again. This will be my third year to participate in the AVON 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer. So many of you have helped me before in my small part of this enormous goal and I want to thank every one of you. I walk with a team of friends from all over the country and every step we take brings us that much closer to a cure.

I'm required to raise at least $1,800 in order to walk. I'm happy to say I went past that, so I changed my goal to $2500. Then I passed that and made my new goal $3,000. Thanks to my wonderfully generous friends, I made that new goal on August 20. Bless each and every one of you, as well as anyone else who makes this year even more incredible. I love you all.

I know of no one who has not been touched in some way by this terrible killer. This year I lost two more friends to this monster. Even our beloved pets can get breast cancer and my group educates people along the way on ways to protect and prevent that.

Your donations will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. The dollars you pledge will put food on the table of a breast cancer patient and her family. They will enable access to mammograms and medicine, family support and research.

I'm walking with thousands of other 39ers. We're banding together in solidarity and have one goal: to take breast cancer down. So many sisters and mothers and friends have been lost. We see a world without breast cancer for our daughters and nieces. AVON 39 is a force of change that can't be stopped. By supporting me with a donation, you're part of it.
