I'm doing the walk again in 2016!! I had an awesome time training, walking and meeting incredible people and, best of all, I raised money to eradicate Breast Cancer!!! Thanks to the generosity of many people I raised over $31,000 in 2015!! Now I have to do better than that.
I am required to raise at least $1,800 to EARN MY 39, but I plan to raise at least $35,000! I hope that I can count on your support!
This walk is personal for me as a breast cancer survivor (3 years, so far). I was very lucky to have access to excellent health care, including the screening mammogram where my cancer was discovered at a very early stage. Not everyone is so lucky. Since the money raised not only go toward finding a cure, but also helping fund access to testing, surgery and support for those who can't self-fund, this is a really important and worthwhile fundraising event.
You can make a donation right here on my webpage by clicking the "Donate Now" button to the right. If you prefer to write a check, click the “Donate By Mail” button and follow the instructions on the form.
Your donations will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Foundation. The dollars you pledge will put food on the table of a breast cancer patient and her family. They will enable access to mammograms and medicine, fuel research, and save lives. Need any more reason to click that Donate Now button?
I’m walking with thousands of other 39ers. We’re banding together in solidarity and have one goal: to take breast cancer down. So many sisters and mothers and friends have been lost. We see a world without breast cancer for our daughters and nieces. AVON 39 is a force of change that can’t be stopped. By supporting me with a donation, you’re part of it.

Training!
According to Map My Walk, which I didn't start using until May last year, I walked 359 miles in 2015 training and the actual walk! I can't wait to see how many miles I'll walk in 2016!
