Welcome and thank you for visiting our AVON 39 JournEY for a Cure team page!
Each member of our team has her reasons for participating - - whether it’s a personal fight with breast cancer, the struggle or loss of a loved one, or a deep commitment to the cause.
This will be our 7th year this team is walking together and our fundraising efforts have been outstanding. Over the past five walks, we have raised over $350,000.
We've each made a big commitment. We’ll spend the next few months training to prepare for a walk of up to a marathon and a half. Each team member is required to raise at least $1,800 in donations. But because we're in this together, we know that, with your help, we can do it.
You can support our team in two ways:
1.JOIN our team - if you are intimidated by the walking or the fundraising, contact anyone of us - if we did it, YOU can do it!
2.You can make a donation to any team member by clicking on their name, and you’ll be taken to their personal page. If you'd prefer to write a check, just contact one of us and we'll send you the form and information.

About Avon Breast Cancer Crusade
The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade qualifies under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Launched in 1992, the Crusade is affiliated with the Avon Foundation for Women. The Crusade’s philanthropic commitment is to enable access to medical advances and support services for breast cancer patients, particularly those from vulnerable populations, and to invest in research on the prevention, diagnostics, and treatment of breast cancer. Funding is awarded to beneficiaries ranging from leading cancer centers to community-based breast health programs for awareness and education; screening and diagnosis; access to treatment; support services; and scientific research.
