Thank you so much for visiting my Avon page (again!)...

This will be my 10th year to participate in the Avon Walk to End Breast Cancer.  What started as a tribute to my mother-in-law who ultimately lost her battle, has turned into a passion to ending this horrible disease.

I've walked each year after that first one to honor not only my beautiful mother-in-law, but also many dear women in various stages of breast cancer.  This year I'm walking in honor of a wonderful man.  He doesn't have breast cancer (and yes, men can get breast cancer), but he is currently fighting his second round of cancer after well over a decade of remission.  He is loved by many for his kind heart, devilish grin and sarcastic sense of humor.  His name is Jeff Mydock, and he is a camera operator on many shows, including my very own Judge Judy and Hot Bench.  Those of us who know Jeff and work with him are all praying and pulling for him to come back to us and get back to work.

As I said last year, even though this is a walk to end breast cancer, I will be walking to end all cancer.  I believe that ending one type of cancer will lead to ending all types of cancer.  And with your help, I know we will get there.  Every year, we get closer to a cure, and with every dollar we raise, we are also helping people get screened, get emotional support and get treatment.  Your donation goes in so many directions - not just to research, but also to actual people who need help getting through the journey of a breast cancer diagnosis.
