Hi! Thank you for visiting my Avon39 page! I am very excited that this will be my 3rd year participating in this walk. I believe that finding a cure breast cancer is very important and needs to happen soon. Did you know that 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer? That means that 12% of women in the world will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
Your donations will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. A donation of $25 can pay for the supplies of a breast cancer research lab. A $35 donation can pay for a home deliviered meal for a breast cancer patient undergoing treatment. $150 can help an uninsured woman get a mammogram, and $250 can help a newly diagnosed breast cancer patient get the x-rays and lab work needed to determine treatment.
Last year, I had the amazing opportunity to speak at opening ceremony along with 3 other walkers and crew members. I will never forget the reaction of the crowd when we revealed the total amount fundraised from that walk (which was $4.6 million!!). Throughout the walk, people came up to me and told them how much my speech inspired them, which felt unbelievable to know that you touched someone in a positive way.
Over the past two years, I have raised over $5,000 to help this amazing cause. With your help, I hope to raise at least $2,000 this year!
