Dear Friends:
I am participating in the Avon 39 – Walk to End Breast Cancer, DC. I will work as a member of the all-volunteer Crew for the Avon 39. My job is not a glamorous one; as part of the Medical Taxi Team, I’ll spend the weekend making sure that sick or injured Walkers get to the medical help they need, and I’ll do it proudly.
I’ll be proud because I’m playing a crucial role in the fight against breast cancer. Thousands of others will walk up to 39.3 miles in this event, and they can’t do it without us. The Crew is the backbone of the Walk and we are the people who literally make it happen.
Crew members aren’t “required” to fundraise, but, if we’re really serious about ending breast cancer, I think we all need to go beyond what is “required.” I’ve set a fundraising goal of $2000. Please follow the link below to donate to this great cause!
