This May, I'll be back for my third year with Avon39. Thanks to the incredible generosity of so many people, from close friends to family to complete strangers, I've raised almost $10,000 in the past two years for this great cause.
Once again, I am participating to help women today and tomorrow, and in memory of two amazing ladies that I will always miss: Maureen Wall Bentley, whom I lost in 2011, and her dear friend, Michelle Gillen, who left this world in 2016.
I'm not walking this year, but am part of the volunteer crew -- working as a photographer for the DC event; while my FitBit won't give me 39 miles on the readout, I'll bet I get half of that, and (I hope) a few thousand frames for Avon39 to use in the future. My own personal way of giving to this great organization that helps so many women in need. YOU can help with your donation, as crew volunteers such as myself can still do fundraising. It all goes to the same place, so please send your donation in today.
