Hi Everyone! We are Michelle and Lucy, and we have accepted the challenge to lead Team O for the second year in a row– Santa Barbara at the AVON 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer!
We are a team of mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends who share a desire to make a difference – and crush breast cancer. We each have our reasons for participating—whether it’s a personal fight with breast cancer, to honor a lost loved one, or a deep commitment to the cause. Together, we will prepare our minds and bodies, support and encourage each other, raise as much support as we can in this important fight against breast cancer!
Each team member is required to raise at least $1,800 in donations, but we know that with your help, we can do it!
If you'd like to join the team, or just make a quick, easy donation without walking, you can do so here. Anyone can participate, and don't worry if you're not in walking shape yet—we’ll spend the next few months training to prepare for AVON 39.
It's time to become warriors. This is no easy feat, but with your support we can help save and improve lives for cancer patients in Santa Barbara and across the nation. We are ready to lace up and get our feet to steppin. Hope to see you on our team!
About Avon Breast Cancer Crusade
The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade qualifies under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Launched in 1992, the Crusade is affiliated with the Avon Foundation for Women. The Crusade’s philanthropic commitment is to enable access to medical advances and support services for breast cancer patients, particularly those from vulnerable populations, and to invest in research on the prevention, diagnostics, and treatment of breast cancer. Funding is awarded to beneficiaries ranging from leading cancer centers to community-based breast health programs for awareness and education; screening and diagnosis; access to treatment; support services; and scientific research.
