Hi family and friends!
Many of you know that I will be participating in this year's Avon Walk to end Breast Cancer! I am so excited because this is my first year ever doing the Youth Crew!
Some things that I like to do in my free time are: play soccer, spend time with family, and help others! That is why I have decided to be on the Youth Crew! I love to help others and I certainly love participating in new events! I am so excited and optimistic about this wonderful experience! I know that it is a lot of work, but I am ready and so excited!
My mom, Stephanie has been doing the Avon Walk for 8 years! I have gone to the finish line every year to cheer her, and her other teammates on! My brother and I dress in all pink and we make signs saying "GO WALKERS GO!" We love to encourage other walkers, including my mom, that they are almost finished with the long journey to the finish line! That is one reason why I wanted to join the Youth Crew. Since my mom has been doing this amazing walk for 8 years, I decided that it should be my time to help find a cure to breast cancer! So, I applied for the Youth Crew by filling out an online form. After I turned it in, I had a phone interview! I was so excited, and when they called, I was so proud because I felt very confident! We got another call about a week later saying that I was on the Youth Crew! I was so joyful and grateful that I was going to help others find a cure to breast cancer!
You might be wondering what the Youth Crew is.....right? For three days, I will be helping to set up the Avon Walk for the thousands of walkers. That means setting up tents for them to sleep in (I'm sleeping in one, too), setting up rest stops, cheering stations and more. I will be with other kids and we will be cheering the thousands of walkers for the entire weekend. It's going to be fun and tiring, but I'm ready!
I have been asked to raise money, because I am on the Youth Crew. If you are able to donate, even $5, I would be so honored! Any amount would be so generous and kind-hearted! By donating, you might be saving someone's life! All of the money donated will go to research centers and help the cancer patient and her family with any help they might need!
Thank you so much for thinking of me.
Lots of love,
Ella Moseska :)
