The AVON 39 Walk Weekend would not be possible without the support of many dedicated volunteers. Whether you join us one night a week, occasionally for special projects and programs, or during the Event - your participation is vital to our success.
The following are AVON 39 weekend shifts. We also depend on Volunteers during the months leading up to the Event to support our staff in contacting 39ers, organizing events, leading Training Walks, etc. If you are interested in volunteering before Event weekend, please contact Ali Hoffman ([email protected])
All Volunteers must be at least 16 years old at Check-In Friday.
Assist in the overall set-up of tables, chairs, signage and other supplies for Check-In Friday.
Help check-in all Walkers and Crew members on this exciting day! Many Volunteers will help in the check-in area by entering participants’ data into a simple laptop computer program, distribute fundraising rewards to participants who have reached certain donation levels, or by gathering the materials participants receive when they check-in. Volunteers not in the check-in area may greet participants as they arrive at Check-In Friday, work closely with AVON 39 Staff members to answer participant questions, assisting Staff with registering participants for the following year and more! Volunteers should be ready to jump in wherever needed!

Volunteers should be prepared to be on their feet all morning and be ready to help wherever needed!
